10th jubilee edition of the HatchTech Breakfast Meeting

At this 10th jubilee edition of the HatchTech Breakfast meeting a IPPE, we take a bold step into the future of hatcheries.

Over the past decade, we have witnessed profound changes in the poultry industry. Today, we stand on the brink of a new wave of transformation, one that promises lower investments, higher returns, and improved chick quality and animal welfare . Our confidence in the future is grounded in results of the past. What we envision is not theoretical; it is built on proven solutions in the last ten years.

Guided by this vision, we are proud to introduce all our  guest speakers, who will share their perspectives on the future of our industry. These three speakers are founders and leaders of highly impactful companies that have grown rapidly over the past decade by turning their dreams and ideas into today’s reality. They will present their vision, and concrete innovations, for the next five to ten years, as we prepare to take the next big step forward together.

Richard Maatman speaking at IPPE

Richard Maatman, CEO of Hendrix Genetics
at the HatchTech Breakfast Meeting 2025

Speakers from last year

Richard Maatman (CEO, Hendrix Genetics)
Last year, Richard shared what it takes to remain competitive in the poultry sector. He offered an in-depth look at the most critical industry trends, explored how to meet the growing global food demand, and addressed the impact of geopolitical challenges creating new constraints.

Joyce Neth (Vice President, Director of Audience Engagement of WATT Global Media)
Joyce brought forward fascinating insights on Gen Z values and poultry consumption, highlighting what this means for producers and how the next generation of consumers will shape the future of the industry.

Robert Yaman (CEO, Innovative Animal Ag)
Robert introduced three often overlooked trends in poultry. He examined the decline in broiler productivity, the evolving relationship between hatchery and farm, and the persistent reality of the “unchanging consumer.”

Joost ter Heerdt  (Commercial Director, HatchTech Incubation)
Joost highlighted the impressive momentum of HatchCare and SetCare, two innovations reshaping the hatching process. He explained how extending incubation from 21 to 24 days works in practice, and shared the clear benefits these solutions deliver for hatcheries and producers alike.
